job-room.ch Official
The public employment service's own job exchange, run by the regional employment centres. It also carries the vacancies subject to the mandatory reporting rule, which registered job seekers get to see first.
arbeit.swiss Official
The federal labour market portal: how to register as unemployed, your rights and obligations, job search tools and forms.
stelle.admin.ch Official
Vacancies across every department of the Swiss federal administration.
publicjobs.ch Public sector
Openings in public administration and public institutions — cantons, municipalities, utilities, schools and hospitals. A part of the market that the commercial boards cover only partially.

jobs.ch The biggest
Switzerland's leading job board, strongest in the German-speaking part. A very large share of all Swiss vacancies passes through it.
jobup.ch Romandy
The reference site for French-speaking Switzerland: Geneva, Vaud, Neuchâtel, Valais, Fribourg and Jura. Same group as jobs.ch.

Pulls in ads from many other sites and from company career pages. Good insurance against missing something posted elsewhere.

Ticino. Italian-speaking Switzerland has no large dedicated board of its own. In practice the market runs through the general sites — jobs.ch and job-room.ch both filter by canton — plus the career pages of local employers and the cantonal administration.

Researching an employer

Glassdoor Reviews
Employee reviews, interview accounts and self-reported salary figures. Read it for patterns rather than individual verdicts, since people rarely write a review when everything is fine.
kununu Reviews
The equivalent for German-speaking countries, with better coverage of Swiss and German mid-sized employers than Glassdoor has.
Zefix Official
The federal commercial register. Confirms that a company legally exists, when it was founded, who signs for it and where it is domiciled — a two-minute check that filters out a whole category of fake job offers.

Going direct

Beyond the job boards, go straight to the "Careers" page of the employers you care about: many post there first, or only there, to avoid advertising costs. Hospitals, municipalities, cantonal administrations, universities, utilities and the federal railways are all worth checking directly. As an example of the format:
